While commuting to and working full-time in New York City as a buyer in the fashion industry, Jean earned her comprehensive Mat and Apparatus certifications through Balanced Body. Today, she balances her Pilates instruction alongside a career in journalism and freelance writing, bringing a thoughtful, wellness-centered perspective to both fields. Jean is passionate about helping clients strengthen their cores, recover from injury, improve mobility, and build confidence through challenging yet approachable movement.

Chelsie Carr

Chelsie received her first Pilates Certification from Orange Coast College, in 2011, and has been teaching Pilates since. Her first endeavors were creating a mat program for Seniors in the city of Huntington Beach, CA while simultaneously teaching group equipment classes in small, independent studios. Chelsie developed a loyal clientele and when she was able to pursue her dream of moving to OR, in 2022, the majority of her clients followed her virtually. She is honored to still be working with them. Chelsie moved to Corvallis in October, 2025. She is very excited to be teaching in person once again, and loves the energy of being back in the studio. When not teaching or taking Pilates, you can often find Chelsie in nature with her dog, Apollo, or curled up reading with her cat, Charlie Valentine. She also loves painting, music, and of course her family and friends. She is extremely proud to have raised two amazing men, and will always consider motherhood the best job of all.
