Reformer

A small group reformer class of up to 4 students using the spring coil resistance of the Pilates Reformer. Arms, legs, buns and abs are toned and strengthened while muscles are lengthened. The instructor will review the essential exercises and Pilates principles while introducing new moves with slightly more repetition.

For Reformer classes, please make sure to book ahead of time.  We have 4 Reformers so it is on a first come, first serve basis.  If you must cancel, please make sure to do so 12 hours prior so that another client can book. Please refer to FAQ page for further details.

Mat Pilates

Starting with a warm-up, be prepared to work on abs, arms and buns through a series of Mat exercises rooted in the fundamentals of Pilates. The use of Pilates props such as resistance rings, bands, hand held weights, foam rollers, body bars and small to medium stability balls will be used to further challenge the individual.

Benefits: Helps build, sculpt and tone muscles. Pilates can aid in flexibility and improving posture, as stretching your body is a vital part of class. While low-impact, Pilates burns fat during and after class, as your muscles continue to shed calories long after class ends.

Using the foam roller to strengthen the core, clients will engage in exercises to challenge themselves. The second half of class will include restorative poses to stretch and calm the muscles of the body.  All levels welcome – a great way to begin and/or end the day!

 

Functional Mobility

 

 

Through a combination of natural movement and myofascial release techniques, utilizing foam rollers, yoga tune-up balls, and other props; we will improve the range of motion and suppleness of our bodies.  Learn how to perform basic maintenance on yourself to improve quality of life and be physically ready to undertake your next challenge. 

Benefits: Mobility training can improve the range of motion of our joints and muscles. It can assist in improving our posture. Mobility training can alleviate 'everyday' aches and pains as well as improve our body awareness. 

 

Yoga

Yoga can increase flexibility and improve athletic performance. Not only can Yoga help maintain a balanced metabolism, it can also improve Cardio and circulatory health.

Yoga Flow is a series of movements that incorporate breathe and vinyasa.  This class is suitable for all levels.

Benefits: Increases flexibility, muscle strength and tone.  Improves respiration, energy and vitality. Helps maintain a balanced metabolism and aids in weight reduction. Improves Cardio, circulatory health and athletic performance.
